How to set up counting for your server (and what it does)

What is counting?

Counting in Nestling bot is similar to other counting bots. However, counting is saved through MongoDB and does not reset when the bot resets or leaves the server (leaving the server may change later for data reasons). Counting also doesn't reset when someone puts in the wrong number. There is also a leaderboard for servers with a high count!

How to set up counting

  1. Use /settings and press Counting Channel

  1. Select the channel you want people to count in

  2. Make sure the bot has permission to see those messages and react to them

There will be no error if the bot has no permission to add a reaction or up count

Leaderboard

Use /count_leaderboard to see the leaderboard. You'll see something like this:
